Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening removes stains and discoloration from teeth. Dr. Sabet uses Boost whitening gel from Ultradent to create a beautifully white smile within one hour.
Teeth that have tetracycline or fluoride stains are not good candidates for the whitening procedure, unless the discoloration is very mild. More serious tetracycline and flouride discoloration can be corrected with veneers. Come in for a consultation, and Dr. Sabet can help you decide the best course of treatment for correcting discoloration.
In Office Whitening Procedure
Before beginning the whitening process, Dr. Sabet will check the teeth for cavities. If there are cavities in the teeth, Dr. Sabet will need to fill them before applying the whitening gel.
First, Dr. Sabet removes the plaque that has built up along the gum line. Then, a protective covering will be placed over your gums to protect the soft tissue from the bleaching agent. Boost from Ultradent requires no light for activation, and you will be able to see results of the whitening gel within one hour. With proper care, your new white smile will sparkle for years to come.
Take Home Teeth Whitening
Dr. Sabet can also create a custom teeth whitening system that you can use from the comfort of your own home.
First, Dr. Sabet takes an impression of your teeth, and uses the impressions to create custom whitening trays. Once the trays have been properly fitted to your teeth, Dr. Sabet will send you home with instructions on how to use the trays and whitening gel. The take home teeth whitening process usually consists of 1-2 applications per day for 2-4 weeks to provide optimum results.
